UNITED WAY 211 NORTHEAST REGION

Directory for UNITED WAY 211 NORTHEAST REGION Please Click Here

UNITED WAY 211 NORTHEAST REGION is a program of Family and Children’s Service of the Capital Region in collaboration with United Way of the Greater Capital Region.

What is 2-1-1?
2-1-1 is an easy to remember telephone number that connects people with important community services -- from finding an after-school program to securing adequate care for a child or an aging parent. 2-1-1 can also connect people with opportunities to serve the community as volunteers. (Callers from outside our 12 county region may call, toll free (888) 366-3211.)

Faced with a dramatic increase in the number of agencies and help-lines, people often don’t know where to turn. People may go without these necessary services because they do not know where to start. 2-1-1 helps people find and give help.

When you call 2-1-1:
Information and Referral Specialists will ask about where you live and what you need. They will give you information about programs and services in your community who can help with Basic Human Needs,, Physical and Mental Health, Work Support, Support for Elderly and the Disabled, and Children, Youth, and Family Support. Calls to 2-1-1 are confidential.
