Saratoga Housing Alliance - Saratoga Springs - www.saratogacountyhousingalliance.org - The Saratoga Housing Alliance is an inclusive collaborative effort committed to reducing homelessness in Saratoga County by increasing the level of coordination of housing and support services so that the cycle of homelessness is not perpetuated.   The Alliance encourages increasing participation by state, county and local government, community leaders, not-for-profit organizations, housing developers, service providers, and formerly homeless persons.

 

Shelters of Saratoga -Saratoga Springs - www.sheltersofsaratoga.org - Since 1991 the mission of Shelters of Saratoga has been to ensure every member of our community has safe and affordable housing.  Over the years our services have evolved to include a 19 bed emergency shelter, case management, advocacy and referral services, affordable housing options, mobile outreach,  as well as education and funding to homeowners (eligibility required)  to ensure their homes are safe, secure and healthy dwellings. 

 

Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Services of Saratoga County (DVRC) - 518-583-0280, 24-hour hotline 518-584-8188 - www.dvrcsaratoga.org - DVRC provides free and confidential  victim-assistance services to domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, including: 24-hour hotline and accompaniment, emergency shelter, counseling, comprehensive case management, legal advocacy, specialized children’s and youth counseling, support groups, transitional and permanent supportive housing programs, financial literacy training, and a Safe Pet Partnership.

 

Wait House - Glens Falls - www.hycwaithouse.org - To provide stability to youth who present themselves as homeless. This will be accomplished through the immediate provision of coordinated services; reunification of families where appropriate; the provision of supervised emergency and transitional housing, with the goal of personal responsibility and self-sufficiency.

 

CAPTAIN - Clifton Park - www.captainyfs.org - The CAPTAIN Emergency and Runaway Youth Shelter, better known as the CAPTAIN Youth Shelter provides emergency housing for runaway, homeless, at-risk of becoming homeless, “throw-away youth”, and provides crisis intervention for youth in need.  The CAPTAIN Youth Shelter works with youth13 – 17 years of age from throughout Saratoga County and the entire Capitol Region.  The Youth Shelter is set in a rural location and provides a “home-like” environment for youth in need.

The CAPTAIN Youth Home is committed to ensuring that high-risk youth in our community have access to a combination of services which include: emergency shelter, preventive and aftercare services; case management; and street outreach. CAPTAIN works in conjunction with other social services agencies to help struggling youth successfully transition to adulthood.

 

Transitional Services Association Inc. - Saratoga Springs - www.tsa-inc.org - Transitional Services Association, Inc. (TSA) is a private, not-for-profit organization, designed to provide residential support services to children and adults in transition to less restrictive environments, and Case Management Services.
